Don't have a partner? No problem! We'll pair you with one of our talented and friendly Arthur Murray Milano instructors, so you'll learn with an experienced dancer right from the start.
While every studio is different, most students learn on their own. It's only been the last 10-12 years since the popularity of shows like Dancing with the Stars, and we've seen more and more couples on TV.
In fact, learning to dance on your own has some distinct advantages:
1. 100% Concentration: Your teacher is working on how you can improve throughout the entire lesson, not you and your partner.
2. Better physical benefits: You tend to exercise better and burn more calories by dancing one- on- one with an instructor.
3. Faster Dance Progress: All of these things combine to create faster dance progress, plain and simple.
So that's it. Not only is this perfectly normal, but you make faster progress, get a better workout, and that's just the tip of the iceberg of dancing's benefits.
What awaits you at Arthur Murray Milan:
- Already experienced dancers, all our teachers undergo a rigorous training program to ensure they are among the best in the industry. Our teachers continually learn and improve their technique, often arriving before the School opens to practice in their free time and prepare for lessons.
- Keeping fit doesn't have to be boring! Dancing is a full-body workout that makes you stronger, improving your soul, giving you better balance and coordination. A 30 minute dance class burns between 130 and 250 calories and doesn't even feel like exercise! But dancing isn't just good for the body, it's also good for the mind. Recent research has shown that dancing has anti-aging benefits for the brain! What better way to stay physically and mentally fit for years to come.
- By attending classes, groups and social events, you will have the opportunity to meet new people and make friends in an inclusive and relaxed atmosphere. We organize a social evening every other Friday, all year round, so you can practice everything you've learned, dancing with new people and different instructors, slowly getting to know the Arthur Murray Milan community.
